Question 1

What ages does MedKid Care treat?

Accepted Answer

We care for children from birth (newborns and premature babies) all the way through adolescence, up to 18 years of age.

Question 2

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Accepted Answer

Both are welcome. Use "Book a MedKid Care visit" or a specialist's booking button to check that doctor's available clinic sessions. Online clinic bookings receive a serial number and an approximate time; you can follow the live queue from your Patient Dashboard. Walk-ins during clinic hours join the same queue. For video or other in-person appointments, open MedKid Connect and choose Patient.

Question 3

How does the serial-number clinic booking work?

Accepted Answer

Pick your doctor and a day — the booking screen shows your serial and approximate time before you confirm (e.g. “Serial #3 · approx 6:30 PM”). The consultation fee is paid at the clinic itself. On the day, the live queue on your Patient Dashboard shows which serial is running, and WhatsApp updates tell you when the doctor is in or late.

Question 4

Does the pharmacy stock genuine, branded medicines?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our in-house pharmacy carries 100% genuine branded and generic medicines, baby-care products and medical devices — all sourced through authorised channels and stored correctly.

Question 5

Which vaccines do you provide?

Accepted Answer

We follow the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) immunization schedule, covering all routine childhood vaccines. We maintain a strict cold chain and provide digital records with reminders for upcoming doses.

Question 6

Can I order medicines online? Is home delivery available?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can order now: on the Pharmacy page tap “Order medicine”, list what you need (or ask for a call-back / send a prescription), and our pharmacy team confirms availability and price on WhatsApp. Collect at the counter — home delivery to nearby areas is on our roadmap and launching soon.

Question 7

What are your clinic timings?

Accepted Answer

The medicine shop is open daily till 11:30 PM. Specialist consultations with Dr. Tania Khan run on selected days — please call ahead to confirm the current schedule.

Question 8

Can I get a growth and nutrition assessment for my child?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We plot every child on WHO growth charts, track developmental milestones, and provide personalised nutrition guidance at each visit.

Question 9

Can I book appointments and consult a doctor online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MedKid Care doctor booking buttons take you to that doctor at our clinic through MedKid Connect. For wider choices, open MedKid Connect, choose Patient, then Video consultation or In-person consultation. In-person search includes registered clinics and direct doctor appointments. The booking page explains the applicable fees before you proceed.

Question 10

How does an online video consultation work?

Accepted Answer

Open MedKid Connect, choose Patient, then Video consultation. Browse doctors first, then sign in or register when you are ready to book. Choose an available slot and pay the displayed fee securely. Join the video call from your booking page when the join button becomes available. Your prescription can be downloaded after the doctor issues it.

Question 11

What if I can't sign in myself?

Accepted Answer

The clinic's front desk or a MedKid Care referral partner can register you (and even book for you) with just your name and mobile number. You can sign in later with a one-time WhatsApp code on that same number to see your dashboard, prescriptions and records.

Question 12

Can I list as a doctor, register my clinic, or become a MedKid Connect Partner?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open MedKid Connect and select Doctor, Clinic or Partner. Each role has its own sign-in and registration options, benefits, step-by-step guide and FAQs in English, Hindi and Bengali. The clinic registration process asks for a trade licence; doctor-clinic listings follow mutual approval. Partner earning details are explained on the Partner page.

Question 13

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes — open your Patient Dashboard and tap “Delete my account”, then type DELETE to confirm. Your contact details, identity documents, family profiles and uploads are erased immediately and you're signed out. Prescriptions, bookings and payment records are retained as medical and tax law requires, but no longer linked to any personal details. If a booking is still upcoming, cancel or complete it first.

Question 14

What happens if the clinic is closed on my day?

Accepted Answer

If the clinic declares a holiday or your doctor marks a leave day, every booked patient gets a WhatsApp message and a notification straight away, with a link to the booking — reschedule to another day or cancel, and the normal refund/wallet-credit rules apply.

Question 15

What is a serial number, and how is it better than waiting?

Accepted Answer

When you book a clinic visit you're given a fixed serial (e.g. “Serial #3”) with an approximate time. On the day, the live queue on your Patient Dashboard shows which serial the doctor is on — so you can leave home at the right moment instead of waiting at the clinic for hours. Your serial never changes, even if someone else cancels.

Question 16

How do I pay for a clinic visit?

Accepted Answer

The consultation fee is paid at the clinic itself — cash or UPI, as the clinic accepts. The booking screen always shows the exact amount before you tap “Confirm booking · pay ₹___ at clinic”, so there are no surprises. Only video consultations are paid online.

Question 17

When should I reach the clinic?

Accepted Answer

Aim to arrive a little before your approximate time, and check the live queue on your Patient Dashboard before leaving — if the doctor is running late we also tell you on WhatsApp. At the clinic, just give your serial number at the front desk.

Question 18

Can I book for my child or my parents?

Accepted Answer

Yes — add them once as family members, then choose who the visit is for while booking. The serial, the queue updates and the prescription are all in that person's name. One account covers the whole family.

Question 19

What if I can't make it — cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

Open the booking and reschedule to another day (one free reschedule), or cancel. Cancelling a clinic visit releases your serial; since the consultation is paid at the clinic, there's nothing to chase — any online booking fee is returned as a refund or wallet credit that applies to your next booking automatically. Video consultations are refunded in full when cancelled more than 2 hours before the slot.

Question 20

How do I sign in — I don't want another password?

Accepted Answer

You don't need one. Type your mobile number and tap “Send code on WhatsApp”, then enter the 6-digit code and tap “Verify & continue”. If you prefer email, tap “More sign-in options” for Google or an emailed code.

Question 21

Where is my prescription?

Accepted Answer

For a clinic visit it unlocks once the doctor completes your visit — open the booking and tap “Download prescription (PDF)”. For a video consult it's ready right after the call, with your receipt. Both stay in your account forever.

Question 22

Where do I join a video consultation?

Accepted Answer

Open your booking and tap “Join video consultation”. The button turns on 10 minutes before your time, and the link also comes on WhatsApp and SMS.

Question 23

I'm not good with apps. Is this hard to use?

Accepted Answer

No. Tap “Book a MedKid Care visit” on the homepage, or open MedKid Connect → Patient and choose Video consultation or In-person consultation; sign in with the WhatsApp code, pick your doctor or clinic, choose a day and confirm. Every button is labelled in plain words. And if you get stuck, the clinic's front desk or a referral partner can register and book for you.

Question 24

Is my personal data safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your identity documents are encrypted and your medical records are private — visible only to you and your treating doctor.

Question 25

Why can't patients book a video consultation with me yet?

Accepted Answer

Video needs a one-time admin check of your registration details. Your dashboard shows “Video: awaiting approval” until then — clinic bookings open as soon as your account and your clinic link are approved. Once approved, the video booking button appears on your profile automatically.

Question 26

I'm on leave next week — what do I do?

Accepted Answer

Open “Manage availability” and add the dates under “Leave days” — for every clinic or just one. Those days vanish from booking immediately, and any patient already booked receives a WhatsApp message and a notification with a link to reschedule or cancel.

Question 27

How do in-clinic (serial) bookings work for me?

Accepted Answer

Patients book your sitting days at any clinic where you're an approved partner and get a fixed serial number. “Today at a glance” shows the day's list; the clinic's front desk marks arrivals and runs the live queue, and walk-ins join the same queue — you simply consult in serial order and collect your fee at the clinic as usual.

Question 28

How do I get listed at a clinic (or add my own)?

Accepted Answer

Add the clinic during registration (or later) by name and WhatsApp number — a registered clinic gets your request to approve; an unregistered one gets a free WhatsApp invite in your name. Clinics can also add you: approve or reject them under “My clinics”. Bookings open once BOTH sides have approved.

Question 29

How much do I earn, and what is the commission?

Accepted Answer

You keep the large majority of every consultation fee. MedKid Connect's commission is a flat rate, shown and agreed on the registration page. Out of its commission the platform also pays any referral partner, the payment-gateway charge and GST — none of which is ever deducted from your earnings. The exact figures are always visible on your dashboard.

Question 30

Is there any joining or monthly fee?

Accepted Answer

Registering and listing are free, and every doctor starts on the Free plan. MedKid Connect may later offer you a pay-as-you-go wallet or an annual membership for prescriptions — your dashboard shows your plan and any charge before it applies. Video consultations only ever carry the commission on consultations you actually get paid for.

Question 31

How do I set my timings?

Accepted Answer

On your Doctor Dashboard tap “Manage availability” and choose your days and times. Patients can only book the slots you open.

Question 32

How and when am I paid?

Accepted Answer

Your paid consultations add up in “Earnings”. Tap “Request payout” to be paid to your registered bank/UPI. Add your PAN so any applicable TDS is at the correct (lower) rate.

Question 33

Can I prescribe for patients I saw at my clinic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every approved doctor can use “Prescription without prior booking” from the dashboard or Records, whether Free or non-Free. Enter basic patient details and the patient’s or guardian’s WhatsApp number; a child under 18 needs DOB. Choose any setup you added or add a new unregistered setup, then write and review the prescription. The patient signs in, confirms their details and pays any applicable platform fee to open it. Keep using the existing visit for an already booked patient. Clinic reception can still record a clinic-only walk-in without a phone.

Question 34

Do I need a printer or letterhead?

Accepted Answer

No. Prescriptions are generated as a clean, branded PDF the patient downloads instantly. Nothing to print or sign by hand.

Question 35

What kind of profile photo should I upload?

Accepted Answer

A clear, front-facing photo cropped to a square (1:1) — at least 512×512 pixels, in PNG or JPG, up to 5MB. It's shown as a square avatar on the homepage and your profile alongside our other doctors, so the form checks the shape and size and only lets you continue once it fits. If your photo isn't square, crop it square on your phone's gallery first, then upload again.

Question 36

We're closed for a festival — how do I stop bookings that day?

Accepted Answer

Owner: open “Settings” → “Holidays & doctor leave” and add the date (for the whole clinic, or for one doctor). It disappears from booking immediately, the page shows how many booked visits are affected, and each of those patients gets a WhatsApp message and a notification with a link to reschedule or cancel.

Question 37

What can my front-desk staff do, and what can't they?

Accepted Answer

Staff run the day: today's list, arrivals, walk-ins, the live queue, doctor IN/late/done alerts and bookings; they can also read the doctor roster and closures. Only the owner can add or remove doctors and staff, make partner deals, mark settlements paid, edit letterhead/branding or clinic details, and send broadcasts.

Question 38

Is registration really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and it stays free. Clinics never pay MedKid Connect anything: no joining fee, no subscription, no per-prescription charge, nothing to top up. The only platform fee is the small booking fee a patient pays when booking online, set per clinic by the MedKid Connect team — and your clinic can be made FREE for patients too.

Question 39

What do you need to approve my clinic?

Accepted Answer

Your clinic details and a valid trade licence number. The team verifies the licence and approves your clinic — the confirmation comes on WhatsApp.

Question 40

My doctor isn't on MedKid Connect yet — can I add them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Enter their WhatsApp number on the portal's Doctors page — they get a free invite in your clinic's name, and your request appears for them to approve as soon as they register.

Question 41

Who can see my clinic's data?

Accepted Answer

Only your clinic's own logins — the owner and the staff you add. Every clinic sees strictly its own bookings, patients and analytics.

Question 42

How do I get my video referral share paid out?

Accepted Answer

It accrues as each referred video consultation is COMPLETED. Your dashboard's “Video share payout” card shows the amount due — tap “Request settlement” and the MedKid Connect team pays your registered UPI/bank and marks it settled (you'll see the last payout date there). Add your PAN in “Edit my details” so any TDS is at the lower rate.

Question 43

What exactly are the three earnings?

Accepted Answer

1) MARKETING: a clinic registers with your Partner ID → each NEW patient's first paid booking fee there is yours (repeats stay with the platform). 2) VIDEO referrals: patients who book video consultations through your link/ID earn you the platform's referral share, including repeats. 3) CLINIC-VISIT deals: you and a clinic agree a per-visit share; each completed visit booked with your typed-in Partner ID counts, and you settle with the clinic directly.

Question 44

Who pays me, and when?

Accepted Answer

Marketing income and the video referral share are settled by MedKid Connect to your registered UPI/bank. Clinic-visit deal amounts are paid to you DIRECTLY by each clinic — your dashboard shows them clinic-by-clinic as “to claim” until the clinic pays you and marks it settled, after which they appear as received income. The platform never handles that money.

Question 45

Why didn't a repeat booking earn marketing income?

Accepted Answer

By design: marketing income is only the FIRST paid booking fee per new patient at the clinic you brought. Repeat bookings keep the platform running. Free or promotional bookings (₹0 fee) never earn either.

Question 46

Why didn't a clinic visit count for my deal?

Accepted Answer

Three common reasons: the patient didn't TYPE your Partner ID on that booking (it must be entered every time — it's never remembered for clinic visits); your deal with that clinic wasn't active yet (both sides must approve); or the visit wasn't marked completed by the clinic.

Question 47

Does the patient pay extra for using my ID?

Accepted Answer

No — the patient pays the same fee either way. Your earnings come from the platform's side or from the clinic's own share, never on top of what the patient pays.

Question 48

Can I sign up someone who isn't tech-savvy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap “Register a patient”, enter their name and mobile, and even tap “Book” to arrange their visit or consultation. Your referral is attached automatically.

Question 49

Can the clinic or I end a deal?

Accepted Answer

Yes — either side can remove a deal at any time from their dashboard/portal, and propose a new one later. Completed visits already counted stay on both dashboards.
