What a clinic owner accepts to run the clinic on MedKid Connect (version 2026-09-v1). Clinics never pay MedKid Connect; the only platform fee is paid by the patient.
The clinic must hold a valid trade licence and any registration required under the West Bengal Clinical Establishments (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, and the person accepting this agreement must be authorised to act for the clinic. Details given at registration must be accurate and kept up to date.
Registration, the clinic portal, doctors, staff logins, the live queue and digital prescriptions are free of charge. The clinic never pays MedKid Connect a joining fee, subscription, commission or per-prescription charge. The only platform fee is a booking fee paid by the patient, set clinic by clinic by MedKid Connect and shown to the patient before booking; MedKid Connect may make the clinic or a doctor free for patients at any time.
Only registered medical practitioners may be listed. The clinic verifies the credentials of doctors it adds or registers on their behalf, confirms they consent to being listed, and may end an association at any time (as may the doctor). Bookings for a removed doctor stop immediately.
The clinic honours online serials, marks arrivals, the doctor's IN / late / done status and completed visits truthfully and promptly, handles no-shows fairly, declares holidays and doctor leave in advance so patients are informed, and admits walk-ins into the same queue. Consultation fees are collected by the clinic itself; MedKid Connect never handles them and the clinic issues its own receipts.
Prescriptions are issued by the treating doctor under their own registration and responsibility. The clinic ensures its letterhead details (name, address, registration numbers, contact) are accurate, and never alters a prescription issued by a doctor.
The clinic is responsible under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 for the patient records it creates and accesses; MedKid Connect processes them on the clinic's behalf. Access is limited to staff the owner adds; remove staff promptly when they leave. Personal data must not be exported, reused for marketing without consent, shared or sold. Report suspected incidents to the Grievance Officer without delay.
Per-visit arrangements with MedKid Connect Partners are private agreements between the clinic and the partner, settled directly between them. MedKid Connect records the tally only and is not a party to those arrangements.
Either party may end this agreement at any time. MedKid Connect may suspend or deregister a clinic for fraud, serious patient complaints, a lapsed licence or breach of these terms. Existing bookings must be honoured or the patients informed and refunded where a fee was paid online.
MedKid Connect is a booking and communication facilitator; the clinic and its doctors provide the medical care and remain responsible for it. The clinic indemnifies MedKid Connect against claims arising from its services or its breach; MedKid Connect's aggregate liability to the clinic is limited to INR 10,000. These terms may be updated and re-acceptance requested. Governed by the laws of India; courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
